Construction of pore structure and lithology of digital rock physics based on laboratory experiments

Abstract The development and stimulation of oil gas fields are inseparable from the experimental analysis reservoir rocks. Large number experiments, poor properties thin thickness will lead to insufficient cores, which restricts evaluation effect cores. Digital rock physics (DRP) can solve these problems well. This paper presents a rapid, simple, practical method establish pore structure lithology DRP based on laboratory experiments. First, core is scanned by computed tomography (CT) scanning technology, filtering back-projection reconstruction used test visualization. Subsequently, three-dimensional median technology eliminate noise signals after scanning, maximum interclass variance segment skeleton pore. Based X-ray diffraction distribution minerals in studied combining processed CT scan data. size analyzed mercury intrusion method, with spatial correlation constructed kriging interpolation method. particle-size screening shape particle assumed be more irregular polyhedron; considering this mineral distribution, finally established. porosity calculated MATLAB software 32.4%, measured nuclear magnetic resonance experiment 29.9%; thus, accuracy model validated. Further, simulating process physical chemical changes using digital proposed for further study.
